My Profile
Abd Samat bin Kasah, Subang Jaya, Selangor D.E, Malaysia
A true blooded Kadayan / Kedayan of Sabah origin. He was born in Kg Mesapol in Sipitang District. His early education started in 1960 where he attended his primary education at GPS (Government Primary School) Mesapol. After completing his primary education, he proceeded his secondary education at GJSS (Government Junior Secondary School), Sipitang up to Form 3 level and subsequent to that he continued his secondary education (Form 4 & 5) at Sabah College in Kota Kinabalu.
An Electronic Engineering graduate from Brighton Polytechnic (now University of Brighton), England in 1981. Prior to that he obtained his Diploma in Communication Engineering from the University Technology of Malaysia (UTM). Served Jabatan Telekom Malaysia and Telekom Malaysia Berhad as Technical Assistant and Engineer in various fields which include Transmission, Switching and Civil Aviation. He also served in non-engineering fields such as Training, Human Resource and Security Management.
Has attended numerous courses and trainings on engineering, management, motivational, quality, and lastly but not least he has attended Senior Management Development Program conducted by Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia (HBSACM). He is an associate member of Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Malaysia.
While serving in Telekom Malaysia he held various senior positions, which include Board of Director of two Telekom Malaysia’s Subsidiary Companies, Chief Executive Officer of IntelSec Sdn. Bhd. a wholly owned subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia. His last position held prior to leaving Telekom Malaysia was General Manager of Malaysian Security, a Division responsible for protective security and telecommunication fraud investigation.
Other notable position held while serving in Telekom Malaysia was as the Founder Member and the 1st President of Auxiliary Police Association of Malaysia (APA).
Married with five children and currently residing in Subang Jaya, Selangor D.E. since 1988. He can be contacted through [email protected] .
